Docents at The Wildlands Conservancy’s Rana Creek Preserve are long-term volunteers who work independently and alongside staff to help us achieve our goals of public outreach, engagement, and land stewardship. They are Wildlands ambassadors, with a key role in sharing our organization’s mission with others. Interested individuals must attend an orientation meeting to be eligible for the docent program. Orientations take place at Wind Wolves Preserve seasonally. Advance registration is required. Submit the interest form to receive more information.
Get Involved
Interact with visitors at preserve kiosks or on the trails.
Assist with trail improvement projects.
Assist with seed collection, propagation, planting, and monitoring.
Assist with weekend programs, including guided hikes and large events.
