Wind Wolves Preserve
Wind Wolves Preserve has two group campgrounds: The Crossing, located at the mouth of San Emigdio Canyon, and The Willows, located two miles in the canyon.
Both campgrounds provide a shade structure with seating and a seasonal fire pit, ample space for tents, a handful of picnic tables, potable water, flush toilet restrooms, and access to the trail system. Water bottle refill stations are available within each campground restroom. Showers and electricity are not available.
Staff-led programs are available upon request and subject to availability. The group campgrounds are limited to organized groups such as scouts and schools and are not intended for large families or groups of friends.
Wind Wolves Preserve is a natural area. You are responsible for your own safety and well-being while visiting. The Wildlands Conservancy is not liable for any incidents or damages that may occur. The Crossing is a centrally-located campground that can accommodate staggered arrival and departure times during the Preserve’s operating hours. Campers park in the Crossing Parking Lot and walk approximately 0.15 miles beyond a locked gate to the campground. An escort is not required but may be requested for equipment drop-off only.
The Willows is an isolated campground located 2 miles beyond a locked gate within the San Emigdio Canyon. A staff escort is required for vehicles to access and depart from the campground. Vehicles must remain parked at the campground for the duration of the trip.
