Spring Interpretive Programs, They’re Free!

VOLUNTEER DAYS AND GUIDED WALKS

Come join Whitewater in restoring the preserve or enjoying the wonder of nature! As it becomes safer to group together we have opened up more opportunities to volunteer and to participate in our public programs.

On our volunteer days, we will work on post-wildfire clean-up and restoration projects. This ranges from invasive plant pulling and weed whacking, to trail repair and maintenance.

On our staff-led guided hikes we will traverse either the Canyon View Loop Trail or hike on the Pacific Crest Trail to Red Dome. These hikes are a great opportunity to explore the Whitewater canyon with a staff member with personal knowledge of the land.

You will find all the upcoming events on our website calendar.

WEEKLY TRAIL EXPLORATION PROGRAMS

Looking forward to getting outside with the family on the weekends? Join us Saturdays and Sundays for our Trail Exploration Programs! Participate in a socially-distanced STEAM activity, or grab some supplies to take with you to explore out on trail. All our activities help you and your family learn more about your natural environments, and are a fun way to get active outdoors! Look for our naturalists outside the ranger station, or under the shade structure in the park from 10 am to 3 pm on weekends (weather permitting).
