We’re Welcoming Spring, and You, to Whitewater Preserve

Spring has arrived at Whitewater Preserve and the Preserve's ponds, park and picnic areas, parking lot, and restrooms are open daily free of charge from 8 am to 5 pm for you to enjoy the season.

We are thrilled to once again be able to invite visitors to enjoy and use these areas of the Preserve after extended closures due to the devastating Water Fire that burned through the Preserve last summer. While restoration efforts from the Water Fire are ongoing, the majority of the work has been completed thanks to the dedication and generosity of our partners (including Inland Empire 5 California Conservation Corp), volunteers, and donors.

Interpretive activities at the Preserve have also resumed, and we've added a Trail Exploration program that is perfect for self-guided exploration (read more below). So, round up your friends and family for a day of free fun and exploration this spring at Whitewater Preserve.

Please note that the Preserve may be closed periodically due to flash flood warnings when rain hits the Apple Fire burn areas in the upper Whitewater River watershed. Plan ahead and check our Facebook page, website, and Google listing for preserve updates before your visit.
