Protecting land for future generations since 1995.
Ways to get involved:
We believe that love and respect for the beauty of nature is born from experience — And that this knowledge is passed from one generation to the next.
As California’s nonprofit leader in free outdoor education, The Wildlands Conservancy is dedicated to preserving the beauty and biodiversity of the earth and providing programs so that children may know the wonder and joy of nature.
Since 1995, The Wildlands Conservancy has protected over 2 million acres, establishing the west coast’s largest nonprofit nature preserve system. Across our 25 nature preserves, we receive over 1.5 million visitors annually. Our preserves are free of charge and open to the public for passive recreation, children's outdoor education, and more.
At Wildlands, we believe protecting Earth’s beauty means educating and instilling a love for nature in future generations.
Wildlands is dedicated to empowering future environmental stewards through fun and engaging outdoor programs for children. Through these free educational programs, and reverent stewardship of our preserve system, we foster a love and respect for life in all of its magnificent forms. Nearly 1.5 million youth have benefited from an outdoor education experience provided by The Wildlands Conservancy. Learn more about our outdoor education philosophy.
The ongoing work of The Wildlands Conservancy would not be possible without the support from our inspired volunteers, donors, and visitors.
From making a donation, to volunteering, to staying connected and spreading the word, there are many ways you can support our mission.
