Santa Margarita River Preserve in San Diego County:

The hillsides are awash with hoaryleaf ceanothus!

Jenner Headlands Preserve in Sonoma County:

Redwood Forest: So many Calypso Orchids! As well as trilliums, red-flowering currant, gooseberry, hazelnut, and Osoberry.

Wildflower Loop Trail: Just starting to bloom with early carrot-family relatives, such as purple sanicle, alkali desert parsley, footsteps of spring, and wooly-fruited lomatium.
