SUMMARY:Volunteer Day: Backcountry Bakersfield Cactus Monitoring
DESCRIPTION:Join Wind Wolves Staff as we collect data and monitor the growth and health of our growing endangered Bakersfield cactus populations at the Preserve. Recommended for ages 16 and up. Reservations are required. Space is limited. This program is funded by the Outdoor Equity Grants Program\, created through AB 209 and administered by California State Parks\, Office of Grants and Local Services. \n\nDETAILS \n\nCheck in at the Administrative Center at 7:45 am \nAll participants will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival. Minors must have a legal parent/guardian present to attend.\nReliable transportation required. Volunteers drive themselves to the monitoring site\, which is located 20-30 minutes one way from the Administrative Center\, beyond locked gates. No restroom facilities will be available at the monitoring site.
