SUMMARY:Full Moon Hike
DESCRIPTION:Hike to Sentinel Point at sundown to watch the sun set over the ocean and the full moon rise over the mountains! \nCome greet the “Buck” Moon with us atop Sentinel Point. \nWe will meet at the parking lot and watch the sunset colors from the picnic area. From there we will take a slow walk up to Sentinel Pt to listen to the night sounds of the ocean\, howl at the coyotes\, listen for owls\, and lie back and watch the full moon rise over the hills as the ocean swallows the last of the daylight. \nThe walk is about 2 miles with 700′ of elevation gain. \nWe will be walking back to our vehicles in the dark. Please bring a flashlight. Kids welcome. \nSuggested Items to Bring: \n\nDrinking water or hot tea\nClosed-toed shoes\nHiking Poles\nBinoculars\nFlashlight\nlots of layers – could be dripping with fog or crystal clear\n\n
