Wind Wolves has two campgrounds that are available for groups: The Crossing located at the mouth of San Emigdio Canyon and The Willows located two miles in the canyon. Both campgrounds provide ample space for tents, a handful of picnic tables, potable water, flush toilet restrooms, a shade ramada with seating and a seasonal fire pit, and access to the preserve trail system.

Our group campgrounds are free and require advanced reservations. Staff-led outdoor education programs are available upon request and subject to availability. Some camping equipment is available upon request (tents, sleeping bags, lanterns). The group campgrounds are avaiable for organized groups, not large families or groups of friends.

Advanced reservations are required for group campgrounds. Please call our Administrative Center at (661) 858-1115 for more details and to reserve today. Groups will be required to sign our group campground use agreement and provide a certificate of liability listing The Wildlands Conservancy as additionally insured. All paperwork and itineraries need to be finalized one month in advance of the camping trip. Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Camping is free; donations are appreciated.

Groups will check-in with our staff at the assigned meeting spot and time. All group members will need to be present at check-in. Our staff will escort the group to the campground followed by providing a mandatory orientation and performing a pre-camp inspection. Vehicles for The Crossing will be provided a parking placard to display in their windshield.

For check-out, our staff will meet the group at the campground at the assigned departure time to preform the post camp inspection and if at The Willows, escort them out of the canyon.
